Tap into rhythm.
Tap turns dancers into musicians. Every shuffle, flap, and time step is a rhythm made audible — and the timing and musicality it builds sharpen every other style a dancer studies.
Young dancers meet tap inside the Ballet/Jazz/Tap combo classes at ages 5–6, and Academy dancers 7 and up train in dedicated tap classes by level. It's a style with a short list of local options — and we're proud to teach it well.

Questions parents ask
Tap FAQ.
What age can my child start tap classes?
Tap starts at ages 5–6 as part of our combo classes (Ballet, Jazz, and Tap in one hour), then continues in dedicated Academy tap classes from age 7.
Does my dancer need tap shoes for the first class?
Don't rush out and buy them for a trial — come try the class first, and we'll point you to the right shoes if your dancer wants to continue.
Why should a dancer study tap?
Timing. Tap builds rhythm and musicality that transfer to every style — jazz dancers with tap training simply hear music better.
Do you offer tap classes for older beginners?
Yes — Academy classes are leveled by experience, not just age, so a newer dancer starts where they'll actually succeed. Reach out and we'll place them well.
